PICTURES OF CROWS (JACKDAWS)
CROWS-2
These pictures of CROWS (Jackdaws) were taken with a web-cam from the window-sill of the flat I was living in. The camera was the Logitech QuickCam Pro 3000 which in my opinion was the best camera for such shots on the market for the price. It is a CCD (Charged coupled device) camera with outstanding low light sensitivity. This enables night-time monitoring of an aviary with just the night light on. This sensitivity enables daylight shots to be taken with very short shutter speeds thus "freezing the motion". The birds were used to taking the feed that I used to put on the sill and after an initial suspicion ignored the camera.
